A Chip off my Heart

Words are thrown at you,

Venom tainted arrows just out of Ego,

Which might even be from your dear?

Capable of shattering the love, I fear.

Which trait is the best form of Resilience?

I suppose the only thing would be Silence;

To show that you will never let go,

Ending up in cooling her Ego.

Those arrows might just be out of stress,

Why not pour it out over a cup of tea,

Than to put both of us at distress,

Just like the helpless mariner out at Pathless Sea.

Life never ends with such quarters,

Skill lies in navigating through the troubled waters.

Your heart might just be hit by Boulders,

Here I am, ready to offer my Shoulders…..
